Salami pizza rolls

Fresh pizza dough
Venison Salami
Tin of tomatoes
Ball of mozzarella
Fresh basil


Bring the tomatoes to a boil and season with salt and pepper, leave to cool.

Roll pizza dough - bought or made from scratch - into a rectangle. Spread the tomato sauce over the dough, followed by the slices of salami and torn mozzarella. Tear the basil in small pieces and sprinkle over the dough.
Starting with the long end, roll up dough tightly. Slice into 2 cm pieces and place in a baking tray cut side down. Leave some space between them as they will expand.

You can keep them well apart for individual rolls or keep them closer so they will touch before going in the oven to create a tear and share bread.

Leave to prove for an hour and bake in a hot oven (200C) for 15-20 minutes.
