Bridge Over the Atlantic

Earlier this month we took a few days off and went on a little adventure to Argyll.

We crossed the bridge over the Atlantic Ocean to the Isle of Seil and travelled on the small ferry to the Isle of Luing where we stayed in a tiny miners cottage for a few days.

We loved exploring the Isle of Luing, went on long walks and managed a few swims too.

We had delicious food from Luing Home Bakers, Langoustines and salad from Luing Stores and yummy takeaways from the Atlantic centre. On Saturday evening Hollie from Solace bakery put our order of delicious pizzas and doughnuts on the ferry from Seil for us to collect on the Luing side. On our last day we visited Easdale, it was a very blustery day. We were delighted we could sit inside the Puffer Bar and Restaurant to shelter from the rain. The boys spend some time skimming stones at the quarry pools. We did not manage to hit the wall at the other side yet so more practise is needed before they could take part in next years World Skimming Championships I think!

The highlight was lunch at the Tigh an Truish before we drove home. The inn next to the bridge over the Atlantic is not only a very iconic place it serves one of the best meals in this part of the world.

It was so lovely to switch off and relax after such a busy and stressful few months and we feel refreshed and recharged.
